The Westlake Charter School appreciates your support by sponsoring or attending its sixth annual golf tournament on Friday, September 24, at Teal Bend Golf Course in Sacramento. The increasingly urgent purpose of this year’s tournament is to raise funds to assist the school in the wake of recent budget shortfalls, as well as continuing to support literacy and our Art, Foreign Language, and Physical Education specialty classes.
Westlake Charter School is a nonprofit, co-educational, English language, public charter school. The school’s primary mission is to prepare students with the skills necessary for life-long learning. The curriculum focuses on diversity and appreciation of different cultures, while promoting academic excellence and foreign language acquisition.
The school opened in the fall of 2005 and has steadily grown and improved since. Local businesses and parent volunteers made this new charter school a reality and the need for funding continues to grow. Your support of this golf tournament will go a long way in providing a source of necessary funds. Our community will benefit from having a campus that we all take pride in and that our children will find a compelling place to learn and grow.
Sincerely,
Lanie Holmer
